TRY THE NEIGHBORHOOD BEFORE THE MOVE

Could North Park
feel like home?

Thinking about moving to San Diego? A visit can help you discover which neighborhood fits your everyday life. We often host guests who are considering a move—some stay in several neighborhoods to compare them before deciding.

Casa Miranda gives you a place of your own to explore North Park: two one-bedroom apartments for up to two guests each, on a quiet residential street within walking distance of neighborhood coffee, restaurants, and nightlife.

Why put North Park on your shortlist?

If you enjoy local coffee shops, independent businesses, restaurants, and an active evening scene, North Park is worth exploring. Around Casa Miranda, you can try that neighborhood rhythm while returning to a quieter residential setting.

A central place to enjoy San Diego.

North Park puts you close to Balboa Park, downtown, Hillcrest, and other surrounding neighborhoods. Much of neighborhood life is walkable: coffee, dinner, local shops, and parks can be part of your everyday routine. It’s an inland neighborhood with the coast within reach, too. Our rule of thumb is about a 15-minute drive to Coronado in light traffic, and Mission Bay is another nearby option for time by the water. Your exact starting point, traffic, and parking will affect the trip.

A neighborhood we’ve loved raising a family in.

For our family, North Park has been a wonderful place to raise children. Many families live nearby, and parks and playgrounds offer plenty of opportunities to get outside. There are local schools and a variety of preschool and home-daycare options to explore. As you consider a move, visit the schools and childcare programs that interest you and check their enrollment, availability, and fit for your family.

Ways to meet people and find your rhythm.

If you’re moving on your own, North Park’s coffee shops, bars, restaurants, trivia nights, and neighborhood events give you lots of ways to get out and meet people. We also like Walkabout—join through our referral link as a way to find opportunities to connect. Ask us about the places and activities we personally enjoy—we’re happy to help you get a feel for the neighborhood.

Three places we highly recommend checking for trivia nights and other community events are Bivouac Adventure Lodge, The Original 40 Brewing Company, and Playground Art & Coffee. Their events offer a reason to get out, try something new, and meet people. Follow the links to check what’s coming up during your stay.

Explore the specific blocks you’re considering and test your commute and daily errands. North Park’s quieter residential streets and lively business corridors can feel quite different, and parking varies by location.
